Bio

Melissa Schipke leads CMAC’s managed services for engagement analytics. She is also the founder and CEO of Tassl, a Philadelphia-based technology company developing cutting-edge tools that streamline workflows for engagement programs and deliver real-time analytics. Tassl’s platform helps institutions move beyond anecdotal metrics—offering scalable, data-informed strategies to strengthen alumni and volunteer relationships.

Melissa brings deep expertise in data analytics, product development, coding, and volunteer engagement strategy. She specializes in helping higher education teams adopt modern tools that align with institutional goals, systems, and constraints—ensuring technology is implemented strategically and sustainably. Her work consistently bridges the gap between innovation and practical execution in the higher ed space.

She launched Tassl in 2014 while completing her MBA at Rowan University, driven by the need for smarter ways to measure and manage engagement. Since then, she has led the company through the full product development lifecycle—from coding and feature design to market rollout and institutional adoption.

Earlier in her career, Melissa worked at a Fortune 200 CPG company, where she held roles in management and strategy. There, she developed her foundation in analytics, using data to drive business forecasting, performance tracking, and operational planning—skills that directly shaped her later work in higher ed technology.

Melissa earned dual bachelor’s degrees from Penn State University in Marketing & International Business (B.S.) and Advertising/Communications (B.A.). Across both her CMAC and Tassl roles, she remains focused on helping institutions drive engagement strategy with actionable data.

At CMAC, we believe advancement—when grounded in values and driven by vision—can do more than raise funds; it can transform the future of higher education.
